Risky Business justified his short quote in the betting with a commanding victory in the $65,000 Graduation Stakes over 1600m on Friday night.

Backing-up from a victory over 1200m a week ago, Risky Business, ridden by Noel Callow, returned a $7 dividend for punters in scoring by seven-and-a-quarter lengths over Fortune Warrior (Sani Marzuki) with Star Talent (Saimee Jumaat) a half-length away third.

While the margin at the end suggested there was no worries for punters, Callow said it was not all plain sailing out on the racetrack.

Noel Callow can afford a smile as he steers Risky Business to back-to-back wins on Friday.

¡°He¡¯s a very relaxed horse and I was a little concerned prior to the race whether he would back-up from last week,¡± said Callow.

¡°Then around the 700m he was off the bit for a furlong (200m) or so and I was just a bit worried but he picked up the bit and travelled into the race nicely.

¡°The way he won the race suggests that he may have a bit of a future as a stayer.¡±

Trainer Steven Burridge is currently on the Gold Coast attending the Magic Millions Horses in Training Sale and was represented by wife Julie who also admitted to concerns during the race.

¡°I just thought his action wasn¡¯t that good coming off the back, but once Noel got him clear he lengthened out nicely,¡± she said.

¡°I don¡¯t think Steven and I have had a horse win like that this year. It was very pleasing.

¡°Steven¡¯s up on the Gold Coast and I think he¡¯s bought a couple of horses. No doubt he¡¯ll be sitting around somewhere up there watching the races and eating lobster with his friends.

¡°Good luck to him.¡±

Risky Business raced as To Arms in Australia before heading to Singapore. The son of Danehill Dancer from Sky Watch is a half-brother to Lim¡¯s Fighter and has now had 11 starts for three wins and six placings for prizemoney of around $160,000.
