Promise Me Gold looked like he was destined to silver or even bronze when he could not find the rails run in the home straight on Friday.
Jockey Din Azis had a lapful under him but nowhere to go with Raging Bull (Danny Beasley) not yielding an inch of space on his inside.

Promise Me Gold (Din Azis) gets up to chalk up his third win

But it was no holds barred when the gap finally presented itself as Raging Bull got the wobbles 100m out, shifting out to leave a dream run for Promise Me Gold to scoot through.
The Steven Burridge-trained galloper quickened nicely with Raging Bull plugging on well for second, and the improving Tangesh (Benny Woodworth) a head away in third.
"He¡¯s just a bread-and-butter horse and that was the right race for him," said Burridge.
"He hasn¡¯t got the biggest of heart as he was crowded at his last start though he still fought on okay. But he did a good job today."
Promise Me Gold wrapped up the 1400m of the $55,000 Class 4 race in 1min 22.9secs and has now won three races from 13 starts to earn about $125,000 in stakes money.
