Jockey Danny Beasley was like a kid waiting to start school all week as he waited for Friday night’s meeting at Kranji.

Beasley had spent the best part of three weeks on the sidelines through suspension and Friday night’s meeting was his first meeting back.

Having his first ride back following suspension, Beasley partnered the Dr Yeoh Kheng Chye-trained Rooy to success in the $65,000 Restricted Maiden first division for Two and Three-Year-Olds over 1400m.

He made it a winning double by securing the final event on the program, the $95,000 Open Benchmark 83 Stakes over 1400 metres aboard the Stephen Burridge trained Cristoforo.

Cristoforo (Danny Beasley) runs on strongly to score his fourth career win.

“It’s good to be back,” said Beasley. “I’ve had a decent break. It’s worked out to be almost three weeks since I last rode in a race.

“I’ve had trouble sleeping all through the week. I was a bit like a kid looking forward to starting school.

“I’ve been toey all week. I just couldn’t wait to get back out there,” he said.

Cristoforo's victory, which bought up Beasley's double, came about when the pair defeated Key Choice (Oscar Chavez) by a head with Stedman (Robbie Fradd) and further length-and-a-quarter away third.

"This is Cristoforo's fourth win to date. He still has a lot to learn but I think he will be a promising stayer in the future. We went wild upstairs, this was the first time I have been with the connections of the horse when he has won, it was great and I would like to thank them for supporting me," said a cheerful Steven Burridge.

Beasley decribed Friday's meeting as a "good night at the office".
