Jockey Noel Callow completed a successful day when Royal Suit took out the $75,000 Kranji Stakes C over 1200m on Sunday.

It was his fourth winner for the day having earlier been successful on Magic Leg in the $65,000 Restricted Maiden-1 over 1200m, Arbitrator in the $65,000 Restricted Maiden over 1600m and Lim’s Zerperb in the $95,000 Open Benchmark 97 Stakes over 1200m.

Two of his four winners were for the Stephen Burridge stable and owned by the Big Valley Stable.

Callow was the first back to weigh-in following the race as he was rushing to the airport for a flight to Melbourne.

Burridge was in two minds whether to claim on Royal Suit but thought it best to engage Callow and his expertise.

“The owner hadn’t been having a lot of luck and I did consider claiming on the horse when he had 59.5kg,” said Burridge.

“But at the end of the day I put Noel on because he wouldn’t have to carry much dead weight and he’s riding in good form.”

The quartet of victories take Callow to 42 winners for the season, seven behind Saimee Jumaat.
