Trainer Steven Burridge celebrated a double on Sunday when White Lightning and Lim's Connection saluted in eye catching style.

White Lightning was the first to put a smile Burridge’s face when a comprehensive winner in the $55,000 Class 4 (1200m) (Sand).
The four-year-old son of Australian speedster Iglesia, ridden by Din Azis, made the most of gate 1 and settled in front on the inside of Luminous Dragon (Benny Woodworth) and these two made all the running in the six-furlong affair.
Tricky Master (Adam Fiezan) and trusted Friend (Robbie Fradd) kept in close contention but at no stage did anyone else vie for the lead.
In the straight White Lightning quickly shook off Luminous Dragon and only Trusted Friend making a concerted effort down the centre of the track looked like any danger.
In the finish though Whitening Lightning proved far too good going on to score by three lengths from Trusted Friend with Tricky Master battling on for third a further length and a half away.
“He raced for the first time last start on the sand and I thought he ran quite a fair race,” said Burridge.
“Today with the inside draw and knowing he has very good gate speed, we were pretty confident he’d run a big race.”
Raced by the Oriole Stables, White Lightning (x Greinee Pet) has now won three from 13 and while Burridge is looking forward to the chestnut continuing to improve, he’s also looking forward to the arrival of a recent purchase by the same owners.
“They’ve bought a full brother to Lim’s Connection (Catbird (AUS) x Kayzarana (IRE)) at the Magic Million sales at the Gold Coast. So it will be really good to get him to the stables and see how he goes.”
Jockey Terry Ong escaped injury when he was tipped off at the start after Gourmet Paradise jumped awkwardly.
The aforementioned Lim's Connection (AUS) won the $75,000 Kranji Stakes 'C' with Eric Legrix in the saddle coming from near last at the turn.
The pace was frantic in the seven furlong event when Lim's Zerperb (Adam Fiezan) and Coup Leader (Aslam) decided to cut throat each other out in front.
Legrix meanwhile had Lim's Connection second last in the run and the Frenchman only started to wind him up as the field approached the corner.
Out in front Lim's Zerperb was battling it out with Fantastic Owners (Baredn Vorster) but down the outside came Lim's Connection alongside his stable mate The Big Gee (Din Azis).
Lim's Connection lengthed stride inside the 100m and went home an impressive length winner over The Big Gee with Lim's Zerperb hanging on for third a neck away.
The affable Legrix was delighted; "Did you see that? Did you see that?
"He really came home very well. The pace on at the start suited him and he travelled well throughout.
"It was a good win!"
